ASSOCIATE RECORDING ENGINEER/PRODUCER PROGRAM
DAYTIME SCHEDULE DESCRIPTION
Students attend class meetings from 9:30 AM – 12:15 PM, Monday through Thursday. The training is done consecutively (one training section after another) as follows:
1. Two weeks of Pro Audio Specialist training (Audio & Production basics)
2. Three weeks of Recording Techniques 1 training (Basic studio audio recording techniques)
3. Two weeks of Music Theory (as applied to studio production)
4. Three weeks of Music Production 1 (basic studio & electronic production techniques)
5. Two weeks of Music Business (basics of the business)
This schedule allows the completion of the entire program in 12 weeks.
EVENING SCHEDULE DESCRIPTION
Students attend class meetings from 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday, Wednesday and/or Thursday. The training is done concurrently (different training sections on different evenings) as follows:
1. Monday evenings: Pro Audio Specialist training (Audio & Production basics) followed by Recording Techniques 1 training (Basic studio audio recording techniques) for 12 weeks
2. Wednesday evenings: Music Theory (as applied to studio production), followed by Music Business (basics of the business) for 12 weeks.
3. Thursday evenings: Music Production 1 (basic studio & electronic production techniques) for 10 weeks.
This schedule allows the completion of the program in 12 weeks, or by taking only one class per week, completion in 9 months.
